An artist visit to your school or organization is a wonderful and memorable occasion for students and staff to learn about the creative path and working process of children’s book illustration, commercial art, and fine art painting. It is also an excellent and ideal opportunity to discover and instill concepts and ideas in creative learning from the point of view of an artist and illustrator.
As an award winning children's book illustrator (Waiting for the Biblioburro, Gracias/Thanks, Green is a Chile Pepper) and professional working artist for the past twenty years, I’ve had the remarkable opportunity to meet and speak with many individuals and groups of all ages: at schools, libraries, museums, and conferences all across the country. Through vivid presentations I share my love for art and reading along with the experiences, and influences, that have helped shape me as an artist. It is this gift that I aspire to share with audiences and to inspire our next generation of young artists and creative minds as they travel on their educational journey in life.
